Blog Updates

Happy Monday!

It’s become clear to me that I probably need some kind of calendar alert to tell me every month or so to update the links and other blog minutiae. I guess time flies when you’re having fun, and just looking back on the last few months we’ve had a lot of fun.

The “40 minute stories” tab has been updated with links to every piece of original fiction on the blog, including the recently completed serial story, Denied The Stars. Be sure to check out new favorites such as Dust and Mandelbum, or reacquaint yourselves with old classics like Purple Crush. I’ve tried to organize everything by rough category, including ongoing stories like the Turing Tests or Copy Center Stories.

I’m thinking I’ll be doing one serial short story every few months or so (working on a non-fiction book for a year kicks up the creative juices), and I’d like to continue with other ongoing series or random ideas. If you have story ideas you’d like to see, feel free to leave them in the comments. No crazy idea will be turned away. Just read these gems.

Best of and rest of Trube links have been updated with some of the best content from the beginning of this year, or some things you may have missed along the way. Looking back I realize I’ve put together a number eBook formatting guides (that’s what comes of working on a book with pictures and equations). I’m thinking I’ll compile these into another page for the blog, and possibly an eBook at some point.

The blogroll has gotten a much needed update as well. Check out Fresh 1nk or head on over to The Living Notebook, and 2 other new entries to the roll of blog. Also check out old favorites like Brian D. Buckley, who’s site update is neither crude nor inky.

As part of the ramp up to the release of Fractals – A Programmer’s Approach the popular Fractals You Can Draw posts are getting an update, and might just be available as bonus content in a certain upcoming bundle. So far we’ve got updates to The Sierpinski Gasket and the Koch Curve, more to follow through the week.

And lastly the CFML posts from last year are now available in the Categories view.

More updates to come! Have a good start to your week!

Oh, my. Ben, you know how dangerous that is.

Write a story about the extinction of the dinosaurs, in first person, from the point of view of whatever caused it. Feel free to be imaginative on that last point. 🙂
